Invisalign San Juan Capistrano, CA
Invisalign is best for those who wish to straighten their teeth without having to wear metal braces by using clear aligners instead. Invisalign can correct a wide range of issues such as mild or moderate crowding and minor spacing between teeth. It can not correct more severe issues such as a large open bite, deep overbites or deep underbites like metal braces can.
Treatment time generally lasts anywhere from 6 to 18 months. Dr. Kim will first do a thorough examination to make sure that you are a good candidate for Invisalign. Impressions will be taken, then sent to the Invisalign laboratory to have your clear aligners made.
Invisalign offers many benefits compared to traditional metal braces. They are more aesthetically appealing and offer better oral hygiene since you are able to brush and floss like normal. There are also no dietary restrictions. Patients who wear metal braces aren’t allowed to eat hard or sticky foods such as nuts or candy.

What's Included
First, we will create a digital model of your teeth. This will involve taking pictures and creating a representative smile on the computer.
Second, we will use our skills and knowledge (especially biology and physics) to create the smile you want. Dr. Kim will do so by modifying the model on the computer. This is a very important step because he will be able to predict the movement of your teeth and jaws to create the smile you’re looking for.
Third, we will send the information to our dental laboratory where technicians will use the information and create a series of aligning trays. When the trays are ready, they will be sent to our San Juan dental office. You will then meet with our dentist to begin wearing the first tray. After a couple weeks you will come back to our office to switch to a new tray. The new tray will continually shift and move your teeth.
